Here is a poem I wrote back in 1970 as Bob and Barb Brock where launching out in their first long term missionary endeavour in New Guinea. They had been given a great number of books and we were all working furiously at mission headquarters to get everything packed for shipping to that very needy field of service and I got all inspired and wrote the following.

Depart oh heralds of truth, depart,
Go forth at Christ`s command!
Go forth with love and faithful hearts,
Our hope with you we send.
Go forth and sow the golden grain, each seed a soul may win;
With hearts on fire and souls aflame-- the truth of God proclaim.
Remember Christ is sending thee; not vain or failing men.
Oh, lift the cross for all to see and on His grace depend.
Lo, hear the cries, they rend the night
With fear and horrors great,
Go bear to them that torch of light, before the cry,"too late"
Go forth and know that as you go you cannot go in vain,
Thy God did give the call to go and God will send the rain.
